What's Mastodon?
A social media platform! Some say it's just like X, but that's not true. There's no algorithm that determines what will be served to you. No ads to waste your time. On Mastodon, you are in control of your timeline and your content. There isn't a single company controlling everything either. Instead, there are many Mastodon providers, and when you sign up on one, you can connect and interact with people who've signed up on the others. Each provider has its own community and rules, so you can pick one you like. To top it all off, Mastodon doesn't collect your data.
